Glamping at the Grand Canyon

Glamping: /noun/ a form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping.

Welcome to Wander Camp at the Grand Canyon. Nestled off of dirt road just 25-30 min from the South Rim Entrance hides a beautiful desert landscape decorated with these beautiful white yurts. The yurts are each furnished with different sized beds, two cozy chairs and some essential side tables and blankets. Back to the bed part though- Iā€™m not kidding when I say these mattresses are the comfiest I have ever slept on! Needless to say the sleep you get when staying here is a night and day difference when compared to the usual soar backs and aches from standard tent camping.

I would also love to mention that the staff were all SO friendly and accommodating. OH and guess what there are working restrooms here! Not only were the restrooms super clean, but they also had showers- that actually got pretty hot too! The only downside on the showers is that they were military style. So basically the water only runs when you pull the lever down, but this is done to save water and be more eco-conscious.

There was also this cute little area with picnic tables and fire pits- so make sure to bring wood with you or be okay with joining another groups fire and making some new friends! Overall my experience at Wander Camp was a 10/10. I enjoyed every part and cannot wait to visit the other locations!
